| 3. Ullbergskroken
Ullbergskroken (the Ullberg hook) is a half circle slope just south of the Södra Lindholmen estate.
There's a difference of over 50 meters between the undulating, hilly landscape in the south and the plateau in the north. This difference is enhanced by the leafy wood on the slope. You get a wide view of the plain to the south from the mill. The slope was created during the latest ice age, when the inland ice was stopped by moraine masses forming a so called end morraine. This created an ice lake, with clay on top of the slope. Water has circled below the slope, reinforcing the difference in levels.
Getting to the Lindholmen castle ruin:
The road continues to the crossroads at Domme. Turn left towards Ugglarp and left again at the next crossroads. The road climbs the slope and continues past the Norra Lindholmen estate with its splendid old avenue. After the farm there is a small road to the right signposted ”Borgruin” Follow the road until you pass the river Sege. Shortly after you can park at the edge of the wood. Follow the directions to Lindeholmen's castle ruin.
