39. Sövdeborg
The castle was built in 1597 and replaced the old fort on the island in Lake Sövde where the cemetery now stands.
The castle was built by Brunius in the 1840s from the medieval romantic ideal. The farm portal has been preserved since the 1600s. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful private garden and there are pleasant, inviting wooded areas ideal for walking. The old trees in the area are home to many rare species of beetle and lavae.
Getting to Sövde:
Go back to the road going north to Snogeholm. Continue a couple of hundred meters and turn left towards Sövde
