47. Ljungen

A large, sandy pasture opens up just east of Veberöd towards the Klingaväl stream.

Many remarkably old Oaks dominate the groves here. The land was once extensively farmed but the earth remained fallow for many years as the sandy ground was quickly emptied of nutrients. Several of the farms in the area have well preserved half-timbered houses. The embankment between Veberöd and Sjöbo runs through the area and makes an ideal hiking path. The sandy ground has interesting flora including wood blewits, harebell, etc.
