Lake Krageholm is skirted by undulating woodland to the east and the north.
The woodland close to the lake is rich with humus and is a perfect environment for grove plants like Giant Bellflower, Ramsons, Alpina, Enchanter's-nightshade and Giant Fescue. The conditions also attract birds of prey. While roe deer are common, you'll need a bit of luck to catch a glimpse of fallow deer and red deer . You can park along the gravel road which runs along the southwest side of the lake. There's a picnic spot along the road south of the lake.
Krageholm castle is a magnificent square building with a court yard. The main building was built in the fifteenth century. The castle was restored to its present form in the eighteenth century after a fire. The castle is open for groups by agreement.
