Romeleklint is the peak of the Romeleås at 175m. above sea level, with lovely views over the Vomb valley.
If you follow the Skåneleden hiking path from Romeleklint towards Veberöd, you walk through a stretch of open woodland with old, twisted beeches and thick hazel-trees – a remnant of the old woods. Before the days of modern farming the woods were used for firewood and the beechnuts were used for feeding pigs. The wood had a different nature from the straight stemmed, similarly aged woods of today. The remnants of the old woods have great cultural and historical value. They are also important for insect life, as the thick trees provide dead wood and cavities.
Getting there:
Romeleklint can be reached from Veberöd by following the signs from Kyrkogatan (Skåneleden). You can also follow Skåneleden from Romelestugan.
